Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer III - Conover, NC to join our team.  


As a Manufacturing Engineer III - Conover, NC, you will:

Assures highest quality, least costly manufacturing processes. Designs, develops, installs and documents new and/or existing processes, equipment, and tooling.  Ensures performance (business, profit, and manufacturing) to specification. Conducts cost reduction activities to determine material, labor, and overhead costs.  Provides technical direction to other staff members and interfaces at all organizational levels. 

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, or equivalent (equivalent is defined as equivalent degree OR job-specific work experience OR combination of education and job-specific work experience; two years job-specific work experience equals one year of formal education – NOTE: job-specific work experience used for education equivalency cannot also be used for work experience qualification).
  • Three years engineering experience.


  • Master of Science degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, or equivalent.
  • One year engineering experience.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Experience in understanding torque and assembly processes with fasteners.
  • Experience with inventory flow and management.
  • Experience with continuous improvement projects and lean concepts.
  • Experience in the furniture industry.
  • Experience managing facility related projects

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of CAD (design) systems, SAP, analysis procedures; word processing and spread sheet applications; PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure products and materials produced meet functional requirements over life of product.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in development-oriented team environment.
  • Ability to climb/bend/balance in manufacturing environment. 
  • Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally.
