Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Consultant to join our team in Holland, MI.

As a Human Resources Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Consultant, you will:

Provide policy guidance to Haworth management, corporations, and communities in areas relating to equal employment, affirmative action, and diversity initiatives. Ensure that policies related to these initiatives are in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.  Be responsible for providing analysis of department measurements, reporting on trends related to data, identify gaps and recommend specific programming initiatives to respond to deltas identified in analysis. Develop and recommend policies to attract and retain employees from all segments of society.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or liberal arts.
  • 3 years related HR experience developing affirmative action plans and diversity programming.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance. 

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree.
  • Experience utilizing  Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP), PowerBI, Bittle, SuccessFactors software. 
  • Experience going through an OFCCP audit. 

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Knowledge of HR function, including EEO and AA issues, laws, and regulations.
  • Basic understanding of statistical techniques.
  • Possess strong computer, software, data management and reporting skills
  • Must be analytical and have acute attention for detail.
  • Possess the ability to work in a self directed manner with effective interpersonal, organizational, time management; problem solving and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to the diverse needs of all individuals.
  • Ability to present complex data, legislation and information in way that is clear and easily understood at various levels within organization.
  • PC and keyboard/mouse skills required; advanced skill in use of spreadsheets, including pivot tables.
