Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer ~ Holland, MI to join our team in Holland MI - HQ.  

 

As a Project Engineer ~ Holland, MI, you will:

Design, develop and document new products and product line enhancements. Work with other engineers to determine best manufacturing processes for new products and ensure all quality aspects of product design and manufacturing are met by applying engineering principles under minimal supervision. Work with the product engineering team to complete new product implementation projects. Focus on timely and accurate achievement of product engineering functions to support profitable business growth in our Workspaces group.

Do you have these required qualifications?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Industrial Technology
  • 6 years of experience in an engineering role (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering preferred). 
  • Two years experience in design engineering, two years experience working with product line responsibility, and two years project engineering experience preferred.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance. 
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
  • 10 years of engineering experience including strong new product implementation experience.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience (including conducting performance reviews, leading teams, ex.)
  • Previous experience working with furniture/office furniture. 
  • History of leading/managing cross functional projects.
  • SAP experience.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
  • Able to work on multiple projects at the same time. Responsible for "many" products.
  • Able to work independently, self-directed, and also able to work with cross functional team when needed. 
  • Understanding of bills of materials and drawings.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of 3D CAD (design) systems, CREO preferred, but not required.
