Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst I to join our team in Holland, MI. The position will be eligible for a flexible work schedule which allows for work from home 1 or 2 days a week.
As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will:
Implement ongoing efforts of Haworth financial systems strategy. Implements business process and systems solutions, working with all facets of Finance organization, both in North America and throughout the world. Works with Global Information Services (GIS) to develop and maintain global financial systems strategy.
Do you have these required qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent area of study, including coursework in computer science and/or systems analysis
- Three or more years related experience, with progressively expanding duties in variety of Accounting and/or Finance areas
- One year experience utilizing systems to provide transactional problem-solving to correct data integrity and quality issues caused by technology and business process issues.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
- ERP & Financial consolidation experience (ex: SAP, BPC, D365).
- Experience with Financial Transformation projects.
- Experience with Excel VBA & Macros, Python, or Winshuttle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads efforts to identify business process and system improvement opportunities with Finance team to incorporate business process changes and system automation as key components of improvement efforts, including research of systems.
- Supports and provides input to development of Finance systems strategy (roadmap), ensuring systems strategy aligns and supports overall goals of Finance organization.
- Leads project teams for implementation of new processes and systems, as well as enhancements to existing processes and systems. Includes scheduling, running meetings, managing projects, creating supporting materials, and presenting.
- Implements business processes and system solutions to increase efficiencies and effectiveness within Finance organization.
- Gains knowledge of all processes within Finance; recommends and implements improvements to streamline processes and improve quality of output.
- Analyzes relative fit of system applications with needs of business to address issues/gaps, addressing both long- and short term requirements of business.
- Provides support for design, development, and implementation of cross-sector business processes and systems to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of Finance team.
- Designs and assists with validating business processes and systems to ensure quality product for users.
- Prepares documentation of business processes, current state assessments and system applications flow to ensure common understanding of processes and identify and eliminate any inconsistencies in processes and systems. Also includes future state proposals, and developing a roadmap to achieve future state.
- Works with the business to analyze financial information to help build financial business cases for project financial analysis and approvals.
- Manages lists of user requests for business system changes, ensuring continuous improvement and completion.
- Develops training materials; executes training to Finance members on system usage to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of Finance team.
- Assists with development of performance measurements to track business process and system improvements, ensuring objectives are accomplished.
- Utilizes personal computer (PC) and keyboard/mouse while performing functions of position. Overnight travel away from corporate offices, including internationally, may be necessary to complete responsibilities.

- Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally.
- PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.
- Intermediate Excel and Power point skills required.
