Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Web Full Stack Developer to join our team in Information Systems. This role can be based in Holland, MI or be remote.

 

As a Web Full Stack Developer ~ Holland, MI or remote, you will:

Support our Digital Marketing efforts. Provide business solutions by designing, devleoping, implementing, and maintaining Internet/intranet applications supporting Haworth's digital marketing and ecommerce business objectives. Work within established architecture and coding standards and framework. Reccomend and utilize the latest technologies, including user interface prototyping and design. 

  • Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality.  

  • Design and develop user interfaces to Internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.  

  • Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.  

  • Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server scripting, studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.  

  • Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.  

  • Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.  

  • Update job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.  

Do you have these required qualifications?

Required education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Information Security.
    OR
    •    2 years formal education from technical school, college, or certification program in computer science, computer information systems, or computer systems engineering AND 2 years experience developing and maintaining software. 
    OR
    •    4 years experience designing, developing, and maintaining software.

Required experience:

  • 5 additional years of IT experience, including experience with existing standard languages and programs. 
  • Experience using Visual Studio, C#, HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, ASP .NET, MVP Framework, Entity Framework, familiarity with Single Page Applications, Git, SOAP, REST APIs, Visual Studio Code, Typescript and Angular.  
  • Experience with Agile (scrum master preferred).

Other requirements:

  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 15% of time.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Experience with database management.
  • Experience with Telerik UI, Kendo UI, Webforms, Azure DevOps, Xamarin, OData, Microsoft SQL. 
  • Experience with conceptual software development, on-line survey development, user interface design, statistics and graphics programming, and data processing. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to learn fast and multi-task between various tech stacks. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills, including troubleshooting and debugging skills. 

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Highly creative, original thinker. 
  • Naturally curious and willing to learn and experement.
