Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Plant Accountant II to join our team in Big Rapids, MI.  

 

As a Plant Accountant II, you will:

Contribute financial support to plant manager and plant operating staff. Provide financial controls for all plant assets and operating reports, as well as prepare financial analysis for plant projects. Ensure all plant financial reports and analysis comply with appropriate accounting principles and company policies, accurately reflect conditions of business, and provide reliable information necessary to control operations. Support monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecasting, annual audit, and budgeting processes.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4 years of accounting experience with progressively expanding duties in a variety of accounting areas
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to work in Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting
  • SAP or other ERP system experience
  • BPC or other consolidation system experience
  • PowerBI experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Strong accounting, analysis, problem-solving, and data-gathering experience
  • Project management skills
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and initiatives
  • Experience dealing with a variety of functional teams
