Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Associate Industrial Designer to join our team in Calgary, AB, Canada. 

  

As a Associate Industrial Designer, you will:

 

Assist Walls Studio in creating 2D and 3D content for New Product Introduction, Maintenance of Business, and Project Specific initiatives in various CAD and Visualization Software. This role also develops/update application or design documentation.

 

Essential Functions

  • Contributes to ideation, offering fresh perspectives and design ideas.
  • Assists senior designers in conducting research, analyzing customer needs, and developing product solutions.
  • Develops design skills by visualizing and evaluating concepts through renderings, models and other means, under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Gains exposure to the product development process, learning about design parameters and communication channels.
  • Supports the team by completing assigned tasks, utilizing design software, and adhering to established procedures.
  • Participates in design critiques, actively listening to feedback and incorporating suggestions for improvement.
  • Stays informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in industrial design.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Spatial, Furniture Design or similar
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
  • Applicants must be able to work in Calgary, AB, Canada without relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must be legally authoized to work in Canada to be eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Haworth Experience
  • Strong Background in CAD (autocad, 3D rendering, etc)
  • Autodesk Inventor Experience
  • Architectural background withunderstanding of products, space design, design trends, and planning.
