Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Casegood Builder to join our team on the weekend shift in the wood plant in Holland, MI.
Schedule is from 6:00am-6:30pm, Friday-Sunday. No mandatory OT!
As a Casegood Builder you will:
- Build complex customized products to meet customers' unique specifications. Utilize various tools to complete job requirements. Operate overhead crane.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of prior manufacturing experience
- The ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs
- 8th grade education or higher
- The ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (hilo) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to use basic hand, air, cordless, and/or electric tools
- Ability to read and follow advanced prints, drawings, and engineering specifications
- Good color perception
- Strong manual dexterity
- Standing required for extended periods
- Work requires regular repetitive arm and hand movement
- May be required to climb stairs and ladders
Essential Functions
- Accesses electronic production systems to determine daily schedule and to verify accuracy of materials for each production order.
- Accesses, understands and utilizes blueprints, drawings, specifications and electronic production systems for building custom products.
- Inspects incoming components, parts and/or previous station's assembly work, and completed product, to ensure proper fit and function of all components; corrects or replaces unacceptable parts.
- Independently builds customized final product according to customer specifications utilizing hand and power tools and overhead crane.
- Performs final visual and quality inspection of product prior to shipment to ensure final product is in accordance with customer specifications.
- Prepares and packages product for customer shipment, operating appropriate wrapping machinery and tools.
- Enters order data into electronic production system, creates labels and stages product.
- Resolves & documents production nonconformance issues.
- Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
- Works overtime as needed.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
