Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior CNC Programmer to join our team onsite in Conover, North Carolina.  The position will work Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.  This position may require overtime.  

As a Senior CNC Programmer, you will:
Collect and organize detailed information using advanced metrology and statistical methods to promote improvement. Ensures product requirements and associated inspection methods are available and up-to-date. Provides training to production members and suppliers (may involve travel) in proper inspection methods. Provides Statistical Process Control (SPC) support to production members. Conducts audits and provides feedback as base for measuring quality performance and identifying areas for improvement. Assists/supports Quality Engineering with development, implementation, and administration of quality programs, procedures, and inspection/audit system.  Uses a range of CAD software and techniques to create complex 2D and 3D part and assembly drawings, often working independently on atypical assignments. Determine the appropriate approach for new assignments and acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues, requiring limited supervision.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products, including process flow analysis, tooling selection, and labor standard development.
  • Conduct process qualifications, experiments, and data analysis to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and process specifications.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality, resolve manufacturing problems, and conduct initial production approvals.
  • Utilize advanced metrology equipment and inspection techniques to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education: 

  • High school diploma with relevant certification or vocational training or, 
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field of study. 

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience with CNC programming.

 

In addition: 

  • Must be able to work onsite in Conover, NC, without relocation assistance.
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time (1 trip to HQ in Holland, MI for 1 week a year). 
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Upholstery frame CNC programming. 
  • ACAD or related drafting experience. 
  • Upholstery (plywood frame and sock upholstery cut sets). 
  • CNC textile cutting experience.
