Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our team in Denver.  

 

As a Business Development Executive, you will:

Build and maintain a customer base by securing new business opportunities with existing, new and target (competitively-held) accounts for all existing Haworth product lines within the Denver market. Develop and implement focused plans that align with goals and objectives to increase effectiveness, build market share, and achieve goals. A strong emphasis is placed on the following key areas on a daily basis:

  • Networking and Prospecting
  • Sales and Business Development
  • Customer/Dealer Relationship development
  • Brand Ambassadorship
Do you have these required qualifications?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing, communications and 3 years  contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.
  • OR

  • Associates degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing, communications and 7 years contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.
  • OR
  • No degree and 11 years  contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.
  • History of identifying and developing (hunting) new business opportunities required.
  • Experience selling in the contract furniture or in commercial real estate.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • The ability to travel up to 70% of the time within your assigned market with occasional overnight travel depending on assigned territory; may have occasional international travel, depending on assignment and/or training needs. 
  • Ability to work in Denver without relocation assistance.
 
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
  • Quota retirement responsibilities.

 

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
  • Proven history of sales success identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience facilitating collaborative meetings and working relationships.
  • Proven ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with end-user customers, influencers, dealer customers, and sales team.
  • Strong networking skills to mine out new business opportunities with end-user customers.
  • Experience delivering professional sales presentations to customers.
  • Advanced selling skills, e.g., prospect qualification; lead generation; new business development; account penetration; strategic, conceptual, issues-based, and consultative selling; negotiation; and contracts (closing).
