We are currently looking for a three paid interns to join our Design Technology team in Holland, MI. These positions will work onsite at the Haworth Corporate Headquarters.
AutoCAD Intern Job Overview:
As an AutoCAD Intern, you will create and optimize the 2D and 3D product symbols used by designers to specify and purchase Haworth products. You will learn the symbol creation process, develop and maintain CAD-based product symbols and reusable digital content standards, and help establish graphic-count standards that ensure products are detailed enough for photorealistic renderings while remaining lightweight enough to support complex floor plans. You will also analyze existing symbol libraries, document best practices and standards, and help create guidance that drives consistency across all product symbols. As part of the team's continuous improvement efforts, you will have the opportunity to explore AI and automation solutions to streamline symbol creation processes and support large-scale updates across the symbol library.
3D Modeling Intern Job Overview:
As a 3D Modeling Intern, you will transform scans, product data, and reference materials into high-quality digital assets used across Haworth's visualization platforms. Working with 3D scans, engineering documentation, and photo references, you will develop high-quality 3D product models that balance visual realism with the performance requirements needed for large floor plan layouts. You will assist in troubleshooting and improving 3D scanning processes, transforming captured scan data into usable 3D assets, and applying textures and materials to create polished, production-ready symbols. In addition, you will help manage and release product cross-reference data using Excel, ensuring accuracy and a seamless user experience. Throughout the internship, you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret inconsistent data, validate information, document assumptions, and contribute to ongoing process and data quality improvements.
Revit Intern Job Overview:
As a Revit Intern, you will develop Building Information Modeling (BIM) content that helps architects, designers, and dealers visualize and specify Haworth products within Revit. You will create and update Revit families for Haworth products, building accurate 2D and 3D geometry from product drawings, CAD files, dimensions, and other reference materials. You will add and validate parameters, materials, visibility settings, and product information to ensure content performs effectively within real-world design projects. You will also test and troubleshoot Revit families for accuracy, usability, graphic quality, and file performance while supporting quality reviews and enhancements to Haworth's existing Revit content library. In addition, you will help document best practices and standardized development processes, gaining exposure to product development through collaboration with design, engineering, marketing, and Revit team members. Your work will directly contribute to the digital tools customers use to visualize, plan, and specify Haworth products in commercial spaces.
