Job Overview

We are currently looking for an Equal Employment Opportunity & Affirmative Action Consultant to join our team in Holland, MI.  The position is open to either full-time or part-time interest.  Part-time work would be 20 hours or more per week. This position will be eligible for a flexible work schedule which allows for work from home 1 or 2 days a week, depending on full-time or part-time status.

 

As an Equal Employment Opportunity & Affirmative Action Consultant, you will:

Provide policy guidance to management in areas relating to equal employment, affirmative action, and diversity initiatives in corporation and communities in which Haworth facilities are located in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Provide reports and analysis of department measurements, reporting on trends related to data; identify gaps and recommend specific programming initiatives to respond to deltas identified in analysis. Develop and recommend policies to attract and retain employees from all segments of society.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or business administration or equivalent.
  • Three years related HR experience developing affirmative action plans and diversity programming.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Advanced degree (i.e., Master’s in Business Administration [MBA]).

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Knowledge of HR function, including EEO and AA issues, laws, and regulations.
  • Basic understanding of statistical techniques.
  • Possess strong computer, software, data management and reporting skills
  • Must be analytical and have acute attention for detail. 
  • Possess the ability to work in a self directed manner with effective interpersonal, organizational, time management; problem solving and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to the diverse needs of all individuals.
  • Ability to present complex data, legislation and information in way that is clear and easily understood at various levels within organization.
  • Advanced skill in use of spreadsheets, including pivot tables.
