Job Overview 

We are currently looking for a paid Human Resources Intern to join our team in Holland, MI. This position will be working onsite at the Haworth Corporate Headquarters. 

Get ready for an adventurous summer as a Haworth intern! You'll join a cohort of around 50 other dynamic interns for a 12-week program packed with meaningful projects and weekly learning opportunities. You’ll attend NeoCon, the largest commercial design event in the world, where you will get an insider's look at all the latest industry trends and innovations. Sharpen your skills with interactive workshops on networking, public speaking, and using AI tools in a business environment. Connect with mentors and see all areas of the office and manufacturing processes. Then unwind at intern-only social events where you can meet people from all corners of the business. By the end of the summer, you'll leave with real skills, an expanded professional network, and memories to last a lifetime. This is your chance to take your career to new heights! 

As a Human Resources Intern, you will have the opportunity to assist with a variety of exciting projects and tasks.  The intern will be working alongside a team of staffing specialist, recruiters and HR shared services professionals.  You may be supporting the full recruiting lifecycle which may include conducting pre-screening candidate interviews, working on related recruiting projects, attending career events as a representative of Haworth, and gaining work experience of general HR customer service.  

Required Qualifications 

  • Part-time or full-time college enrollment, working towards a bachelor’s degree in human resources with at least a junior level status by Fall of 2027.
  • Ability to work on-site in Holland, MI from May 2027 to August 2027.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for the position.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Overall GPA of 2.95 or higher.
  • Prior Haworth experience.
  • Previous HR employment experience.
  • Extra-curricular activity experience such as athletics, clubs, volunteer work, etc.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • AI interest and experience. 
  • Familiarity with labor laws. 
  • Experience in handling confidential information. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience. 


Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheet applications, and keyboard skills.
  • Desire to learn, question, and research solutions to problems.
  • Organized with the ability to manage deadlines.
  • High attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills.  
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
