We are currently looking for a IT Business Analyst to join our team in Holland, MI.

Job Overview

This IT Business Analyst will support Haworth’s manufacturing and quality applications within the Operational Excellence team, partnering closely with manufacturing team members, leaders, and super users to define and evolve solutions that advance manufacturing processes and systems. This role serves as a key liaison between IT and business units, translating operational needs into clear technical requirements while contributing to the evaluation of new applications and IT initiatives, and recommending system enhancements and alternatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects and enhancements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability.
  • Develop detailed functional design documents, outlining system functionality, data flows, and user interfaces to meet defined business requirements.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure proper implementation of functional designs and with testers to define test cases and ensure quality.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training to business users on new systems or enhancements.
  • Stay informed about relevant technology trends and best practices in business analysis and system implementation.
  • Contribute to IT project teams, providing business analysis expertise, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements that can be facilitated by technology solutions. Understand all tools the company currently employs across all functions.

  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Operations Management or similar relevant field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
  • Work Experience: 2+ years of IT or systems-related experience required, with experience in one or more of the following preferred: ERP systems, manufacturing or quality engineering, continuous improvement, helpdesk/end-user support, or manufacturing super-user roles.
  • Ability to understand and translate end‑user experience and business needs into system or process requirements.
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on‑call schedule (approximately one week per month).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. 
  • Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with core manufacturing concepts and metrics, including bills of materials (BOM), routings, work centers, manufacturing lines, OEE, scrap and rework processing, and quality notification systems within ERP or MES environments.
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for hands on, operations‑focused roles
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems, along with MES, quality, and/or engineering applications
  • Experience supporting shop floor applications, manufacturing equipment, or production related systems
  • Skilled at translating manufacturing and business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements
  • Comfortable working in environments with process variability across plants and a willingness to learn how work is performed on the production floor
  • Experience using ticketing or service management systems to support live production applications
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize effectively, and respond to urgent production issues while maintaining focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams and levels of the organization
