Job Overview

We are currently looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team in Holland, MI.   

  

As an IT Business Analyst, you will: 

 

Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, working to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Contribute to the evaluation of new applications and IT developments, recommending system enhancements and alternatives.

Essential Functions

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects and enhancements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability.
  • Develop detailed functional design documents, outlining system functionality, data flows, and user interfaces to meet defined business requirements.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure proper implementation of functional designs and with testers to define test cases and ensure quality.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training to business users on new systems or enhancements.
  • Stay informed about relevant technology trends and best practices in business analysis and system implementation.
  • Contribute to IT project teams, providing business analysis expertise, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements that can be facilitated by technology solutions. Understand all tools the company currently employs across all functions.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or other related area of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience working with ERP OR 4 years of experience working with ERP if no post-secondary education
  • 2 years of experience working with ERP applications.

  • Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with coding (ABAP, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with business process mapping
  • Has participated on systems implementations projects
  • Experience with regression testing
  • Previous experience working in the furniture industry
  • Previous experience working in discrete manufacturing (order based)
