Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Production Coordinator 2 to join our team in Walls on 1st shift. 

 

Schedule is from 5:30am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday. OT is from 5:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday and potential Saturdays from 5:30am-2:00pm.

 

As a Production Coordinator, you will:

  • Communicates and liaises with other departments; investigates and follows up on open customer demands and works with planning team on new orders to be entered.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (hilo) certification
  • Ability to flex work schedule and overtime may be required including weekends and/or holidays per business demands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to utilize appropriate electronic production system to complete job duties, along with the respective technology tools, e.g. personal computer (PC), tablet, keyboard, mouse, RF gun.
  • Knowledge of Haworth and different products, plants and parts.
  • Powered industrial truck (hilo) certification recommended.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of production floor environment and inventory control procedures.
  • Working knowledge of current software utilized for production planning and material control desired.

Essential Functions

  • Check on OTCS (On Time Complete Shipment) parts from other plants, follows-up with team leaders to expedite parts and escalates outstanding issues to supervision.
  • Using technology tools, ensures Drop Zone is clear. Escalates billing and Bill of Materials information in electronic production system as necessary, creates labels and forwards materials to proper shipping dock. Notifies incoming shift of remaining issues requiring follow-up.
  • Checks Pick and Pack Monitor for Unload; researches missing parts.
  • Researches missing parts on Pick and Pack Dispatch
  • Completes available pick and pack orders and ship to the appropriate dock with appropriate signage.
  • Contacts team leaders and PCs of respective work centers for updates on shortages for pick and pack parts.
  • Add notes to pick and pack dispatch regarding shortages.
  • Monitors electronic production system for past due orders, follow up with appropriate team leaders on shortages and when they can be expected. Checks system for orders that need shipment and validates that orders belongs in assigned area.
  • Follows up on orders that have not been received by other plants.
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects.
  • Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
