Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer I to join our team in Holland, MI.  


As a Project Engineer I, you will:

Be responsible for leading a team on projects including design, development, and introduction of product. Ensure performance (business, profit, product and functionality) to specifications. Develop a strong understanding of the new product development process, product engineering deliverables and how they fit in the process and relationships to other functional groups. Focus needs to be on timely and accurate achievement of product engineering function to support profitable business growth. Provide technical direction to other staff members and interface at all organizational levels.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s  or Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Industrial Technology & 10 years of experience in an engineering role (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering preferred) 
  • Experience in design engineering, working with product line responsibility, and project engineering experience.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance. 

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Strong new product implementation experience.
  • Previous experience working with furniture/office furniture. 
  • Ability to solve engineering problems independently. 
  • History of leading cross functional projects.
  • SAP experience.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Able to work on multiple projects at the same time. Responsible for "many" products.
  • Able to work independently, self-directed, and also able to work with cross functional team when needed. 
  • Understanding of bills of materials and drawings.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of 3D CAD (design) systems, CREO preferred, but not required.
