Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Resolution Quality Engineer to join our hybrid team in Holland.  The level of this position will be based on experience.


As a Resolution Quality Engineer, you will:

Serve as primary point of contact for dealers and Haworth members to problem solve customer dissatisfiers by applying engineering principles, critical thinking, and product knowledge. Determine root cause issues for replacement product; lead project teams with Quality Control, Tailored Solutions, Engineering Teams, and other key stakeholders to eliminate future customer complaints, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure corrective measures are implemented. Utilize historical data to create predictive analysis on future customer complaints; lead project teams to mitigate risk through predictive analytics.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with sales team, dealers, clients, and end-users.
  • Serves as key member of the Quality team to lead cross-functional problem resolution for customer matters. 
  • Serves as a contact for the Customer Service team as a Subject Matter Expert on resolution claims process.  
  • Interface with external customer to gather the details of claim/inquiry, investigation, and risk management.
  • Evaluate, investigate, and resolve claims for assigned dealers. Escalates complex claims/inquiries to management to determine action, when necessary.
  • Leads cross functional project teams in the investigation, with external customers and functional area subject matter experts, within the organization, to ensure effective data analysis, identification, implementation, verification and validation of corrective and preventative action, and subsequent closure of complex claims/inquiries in a timely manner. 
  • Understands material flow through Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Canvas systems to troubleshoot errors; documents and/or reports findings and manages activities to correct product flow and product quality.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar field of study, in lieu of a bachelor's degree we require 1 year of experience for every year of schooling not complete. (Certifications and technical schools DO count towards education requirement). 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a quality engineering or customer facing position in business and/or manufacturing environment. 
  • Current and continuing right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI (without relocation assistance) at least 1 day a week. 

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Technical product experience with contract office furniture and/or demountable walls products.
  • Complaint management, service recovery, and issue resolution 
  • Basic CAD experience
  • Previous experience working with SAP software
