Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer and Facilitator to join our team onsite in Holland, MI. This position will be eligible for a flexible work schedule.
The Senior Instructional Designer and Facilitator is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of impactful learning experiences that support organizational change and performance. This role applies expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training evaluation to create learner-centered programs that drive adoption, engagement, and results. Key responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing training strategies and schedules that align with business goals. The position also plays a critical role in facilitating learning sessions and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives through effective change management and communication strategies. This role contributes to large-scale transformation efforts, such as the Source to Settle (S2S) initiative, by ensuring employees are equipped to navigate new systems and processes with confidence. Success in this position is supported by a strong foundation in strategic thinking and collaboration.
Essential Functions
- Design and deliver change management strategy for training initiatives. Support the communication strategy related to change management within training initiatives.
- In partnership with the main Project Manager, develop and manage the training project plan, completing deliverables on time and within budget to key stakeholders.
- Provide technical training for medium/large projects.
- Independently conduct comprehensive training needs assessments, utilizing various data collection methods to identify performance gaps and recommend targeted training solutions.
- Independently design and develop innovative and engaging training programs, incorporating adult learning principles, instructional design best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Facilitate highly interactive and engaging training sessions, utilizing a variety of facilitation techniques to maximize learner participation and knowledge retention.
- Mentor and coach subject matter experts who deliver training, providing guidance on LMS use, instructional design, facilitation techniques, and adult learning principles.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of training programs, using established data-driven approaches to measure impact and demonstrate value.
- Contribute to the development of departmental standard work, training strategies, aligning training initiatives with business objectives.
- Research and recommend innovative training solutions and technologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of training programs.

- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, organization development, education or equivalent.
- Education Equivalency:
- Associate's degree in instructional technology, organization development, education or equivalent, or similar relevant field of study plus 2 years of related experience or,
- 4 years of related experience if no post-secondary education.

Experience
- 5 years of experience in adult-level learning, training, development, and delivery with Bachelor’s degree or,
- 3 years of experience in adult-level learning, training, development, and delivery with Master’s degree.
In addition:
- Applicants must be able to work onsite in Holland, MI, without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.
- Willing and able to travel up to 25 percent of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification.
- PROSCI Certification.
- Experience with SAP Ariba, S/4HANA.
- Excel Intermediate to Advanced Experience level.
- Experience with Teams or Adobe Connect for virtual class delivery.
- ADDIE methodology.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
