Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will:
Independently tackle complex problems related to manufacturing facilities and systems, requiring deep knowledge in the field. This may include leading project components, mentoring junior engineers, and taking ownership of ongoing activities.
Essential Functions
- Collaboratively work on quality processes: Work cross-functionally to develop and implement quality processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct advanced data analysis: Conduct advanced data analysis and utilize statistical tools to identify process improvements and solve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Design and implement manufacturing solutions: Design, develop, and implement innovative manufacturing processes and tooling solutions to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Lead and manage complex projects: Lead and manage complex manufacturing engineering projects, overseeing project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving: Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving initiatives, driving continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing environment.
- Mentor and train other engineers: Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Research and recommend new technologies: Stay at the forefront of industry advancements, researching and recommending new technologies and methodologies to enhance manufacturing operations.
- Climb/bend/balance/twist/reach/lift.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field fo study.
- 2 years experience with Bachelor’s Degree (3 years related experience with Master’s Degree).
- Ability to Lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to Climb/bend/balance/twist/reach/lift.
- Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.
- Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
- Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience preferred.
- Experience with CAD (AutoCAD, Creo or ProE preferred).
- Experience with quality systems automation & trouble shooting.
- Experience with continuous improvement projects and lean concepts.
- Experience with SAP.
- Moderate Excel skills (pivot tables).
- Able to work with a team and interact with production members.
