We are currently looking for a Senior Plant Coordinator to join our team in Holland, MI.
Job Overview
We are seeking an organized and proactive administrative professional to support our manufacturing operations, with potential placement in either the Components or Panels plant. This role could include taks such as coordinating and posting meetings with members, assisting with Fun Club activities, planning the annual plant summer picnic, reporting safety data, and managing office supply ordering. As a valuable resource, you will independently handle administrative tasks, identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Success in this position requires strong planning skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective time management to support both people and processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate manufacturing support activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Support production planning and scheduling activities, coordinating with production teams and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accuracy, minimizing waste.
- Support quality assurance activities by conducting inspections, identifying defects.
- Coordinate training programs for manufacturing personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality, to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School or equivalent
- Work Experience: 1 year administrative experience
- Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military
- Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with safety documentation and training schedule coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualization
- Experience supporting safety champions/committees and updating W3Is
- Knowledge of procurement processes, including Empac requisitions (purchasing) and DBI requisitions (office supplies)
- Background in the manufacturing industry
