We are currently looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.
Job Overview
This Product Engineer role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of materials and engineering disciplines, including electrical components, sheet metal, aluminum, and wood. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, driven professional committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions on time. The successful candidate will have strong experience in 3D CAD modeling using Creo, along with a solid understanding of drawing creation, dimensioning, and GD&T. Supported by experienced engineering leadership, including mentorship from a principal engineer with over 50 years of expertise, this role provides a strong foundation for growth. The individual will also contribute to new product launches while supporting ongoing cost reduction and continuous product improvement efforts. We are open to candidates at both the mid-level and senior level, with responsibilities and scope aligned to experience and expertise.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex product engineering projects, overseeing project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative product solutions to optimize functionality, quality, and cost.
- Conduct advanced product and process analysis, utilizing engineering principles and tools to solve complex challenges.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving initiatives, driving continuous improvement efforts within the product development process.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Stay at the forefront of industry advancements, researching and recommending new technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance product design and development.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar relevant field of study
- Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
- Work Experience: 5 years product engineering experience with Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years product engineering experience with Master’s Degree
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the furniture industry or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Pro/E (Creo) or similar CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Experience managing new product introductions with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of product configuration, preferably in Pro/E
- Familiarity with SAP and ERP systems in data intensive environments
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams
- Experience supporting complex, high volume product configurations
- Proven ability to execute in large, multi-stakeholder launch environments (20+ contributors)
