Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Visual Design & UX Lead to join our Digital Marketing team. This role may be remote or based out of Holland, MI. 


As a Senior Visual Design & UX Lead, you will:

Execute visual designs and UX for on and off-site digital channels that support Haworth business initiatives across digital touchpoints. Understand and interpret brand and business needs and transform them into innovative, creative, and results-oriented digital solutions. You will ensure design solutions are customer-focused, intuitive, and meet all brand standards. This newly created role will focus on both conceptual and detail design.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design, Website and Application Design, Human Computer Interaction, Front End Development, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, Marketing or Advertising with focus on Graphic Design, Print Design, Electronic Media OR UX/UI certification.
  • 5+ years experience as a visual digital designer.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • 3+ years’ experience designing user interfaces for websites and/or apps.
  • Experience creating visual design across email, social and website.
  • AEM experience.
  • Experience creating wireframes or user flows. 
  • Experience working for a global company.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Understanding of front-end technologies, including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. 
  • Excellent visual design skills (typography, color, space, contrast) with an ability to design solutions that bridge customer and business needs. 
  • Experience with workflow/wireframe document software tools (Axure, Visio, OmniGraffle, or similar); Remote Usability Testing/Web Conferencing software services, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Apple computer operating system required. Familiarity with HTML/CSS, InVision and other prototyping tools.
  • Possess expert knowledge of user research methods and demonstrated ability to synthesize findings into actionable plans.  
  • Possess advanced knowledge of user interface design patterns and standard user-centered design methodologies across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, apps).  
  • Possess the ability to design omni-channel user experiences. 
  • Integrate and utilize customer feedback from site analytics, A/B testing, and voice of customer managers to improve user experience.  
  • Experience with Agile, and Design Thinking concepts.
