We are currently looking for a Associate Tailored Solutions Product Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Product Engineer to support the maintenance of business within our Tailored Solutions department, including assessing the impact of standard ECMs on product lines. This role contributes to the design and development of existing products, components, and assemblies, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and manufacturing efficiency goals. The Product Engineer will apply sound engineering principles while supporting the design, testing, and refinement of prototypes and product modifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support in preparing basic engineering documentation, such as Engineering Change Orders and test reports, under guidance.
  • Assist senior engineers in analyzing product designs, conducting basic calculations, and researching materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with the assembly of prototypes, conduct basic tests, and document results under supervision.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of industry standards and best practices in product design, materials, and manufacturing.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of engineering principles and their application to product design and development.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to gain exposure to product development processes.
  • Shadow experienced engineers to learn troubleshooting techniques for product issues.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar relevant field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to research across multiple databases and effectively communicate findings with product experts
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage and interpret data in a data intensive environment
  • Understanding of product structures, specifications, and descriptions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience working at Haworth or familiarity with Haworth products and systems 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with understanding of related processes and constraints
