Job Overview


We are currently looking for a Architectural Product Specialist to join our team at our Los Angeles Showroom

 

As a Architectural Product Specialist, you will:

 

Support the Architectural Products Business Unit and regional Haworth sales team as subject matter expert on Architectural Interior project opportunities. Works collaboratively with team to develop appropriate project response; assists project team, both internal and external, to ensure successful project implementation. Develops project schedules and activities required to successfully enter and execute orders. Develops project drawings from preliminary budget through to final shop drawings, including application of site specific details and completion of installation drawings. Ensures customer satisfaction through total project commitment and coordination.

Essential Functions

 

  • Leads project documentation phases, ensuring complete scope and accurate preparation of quotes, drawings, and orders. Effectively communicates scope and assumptions to all stakeholders for task delegation and timeline understanding.
  • Works collaboratively with Senior APS, regional field sales teams, and other stakeholders to align sales strategies with WBU targets. Supports sales presentations and meetings, providing expertise on architectural products and interior design.
  • Promotes the Architectural Products portfolio by delivering training and support to dealers, architects, general contractors, and related professionals. Ensures proper specification, recommendation, and presentation of products on client projects.
  • Provides expertise in Architectural Products application, including details, solutions, and configurations. Utilizes tools like AutoCAD and Revit to complete project layouts, elevations, and specifications for proposals, customer approvals, and installation drawings.
  • Attends design, site coordination, and construction meetings to provide correct product details and schedules. Develops order strategies that meet construction schedules and ensures successful delivery and installation phases.
  • Works with Architectural Products leadership and Customer Data Analyst to understand project financials and meet gross profit targets. Performs internal audits and design reviews to reduce the cost of poor quality (CoPQ) and ensures accurate delivery of customer requirements.
  • Follows projects throughout their lifecycle, from bid to installation, ensuring successful execution. Updates project databases for visibility and serves as the primary contact for clients, architects, and general contractors, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

  • Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.

 

Ideally, you have demonstrated the following:

 

  • Ability to review and interpret construction drawings, architectural specification manuals, and Request For Proposal (RFP) documents.
  • Ability to review contractual agreements and make recommendations for changes to agreements to best represent the company's interests.
  • Knowledge of modular interior construction products.
  • Working knowledge of traditional and new approaches to commercial construction; familiarity with construction best practices.
  • Understanding of product specification and order processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate versatility in communication and other activities to support sales (consultant and design), project execution, and after sales (account management).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite of products, and Microsoft Project (or equivalent) applications.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Design or similar field of study.
  • Education Equivalency: Associate Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience.


Work Experience:

  • 5 years related experience with Architectural Products, including Architectural Design Drafting experience utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit software applications, with Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3 years related experience with Architectural Products, including Architectural Design Drafting experience utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit software applications, with Master's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Related construction industry experience.
  • Project management experience in interior fit-out projects.
  • Furniture industry experience.
  • Experience with budgeting and bid response.
  • Experience with Autodesk construction cloud, Procore, BuildUp, or similar.

Haworth offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. For those in eligible roles, sales incentive bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions. We also offer a range of benefits and programs to meet our member needs, based on eligibility. These benefits include comprehensive health care coverage, a retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, and much more. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process. This role offers a salary range of 87k to 152k, depending on candidate experience, education, and skill set.
