Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Global Account Executive to join our team in New York.  The recruiting for this position will be handled by a third party recruiting firm.  To be considered for this role, you need to send your resume and cover letter to Pam Randles at pam@mcsweeneygroup.com. 

 

As a Global Account Executive, you will:

Establish Haworth as a trusted advisor with client entities at multi-geographic/multi-sector facility locations to develop long-lasting relationships with executives and key decision-makers influential in the buying process. You will develop, expand, and deepen sales generating activities within assigned key and enterprise accounts and target new business accounts to achieve maximum account penetration at all locations and achieve financial sales targets. 

Do you have these required qualifications?
  • Bachelors degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing, psychology or communications with 8 years of contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.

OR

  • Associates degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing, psychology or communications with 12 years of contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.

OR

  • If no degree; 16 years of contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.
  • Experience selling in the contract furniture or flooring industry.
  • History of managing and delivering sales of services and solutions.
  • Experience building a network of business relationships to create sales opportunities.
  • The ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in New York without relocation assistance.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
  • Experience in Global or Strategic accounts.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
  • Proficiency in developing account strategies, creating customer relationships, and accelerating engagements to close large enterprise contract agreements.
  • Advanced selling skills, e.g., prospect qualification; lead generation; new business development; account penetration; strategic, conceptual, issues-based, and consultative selling; negotiation; and contracts (closing).
  • Proven ability to create, build, and maintain long-term relationships with all levels of end-user clients and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent account management skills and ability to uncover new business and expansion opportunities.
  • Excellent organization, problem-solving, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
