Job Overview

We are currently looking for an A+D Sales Manager to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. 
 

As an A+ D Sales Manager, you will:

Build and strengthen Haworth's brand presence among regional architecture and design (A+D) firms to drive revenue growth and expand market share. Develop effective strategies that focus on specification and basis of design opportunities with design firms and successfully implements business plan to grow market share. Partner effectively with Haworth sales teams to grow ancillary and social spaces products sales. Cultivate strategic partnerships, expanding market presence, and maintaining a robust pipeline to meet financial targets and optimize product portfolio performance.

Essential Functions

  • Create business plans for assigned & target firms to drive sales growth and brand preference. Include relationship plan for firm stakeholders and budgeted marketing plan for targeting firms and designers. Adapt business plan to market changes to meet objectives.
  • Research firms to understand decision-makers, projects, business models, buying patterns, trends and market landscape for effective client engagement.
  • Build relationships with A+D firms to increase mindshare and secure specifications. Engage firms through collaboration, communication on products, campaigns. Manage libraries, samples and provides continuing education. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations highlighting strengths.
  • Network and attend events to develop key business leader relationships. Is active in local professional design organizations. Promotes events, campaigns, company capabilities on social media to enhance brand visibility.
  • Develop strong dealer relationships to drive revenue growth. Shares new business opportunities, teams with dealer designers on effective Haworth solutions, collaborates on A+D events.
  • Work closely with other Haworth selling roles to generate ancillary products sales within their assigned accounts.
  • Update director on sales progress and strategic initiatives. Actively pursues development to enhance performance and expertise.
  • Travel up to 80% of time in assigned market for client meetings. Maintains flexible hours for evening/weekend events and networking.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Sales, Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or,
    • High school diploma plus 4 years related experience. 

 

Work Experience:

  • 2 years experience in sales, design and/or marketing experience with demonstrated track record of generating revenue and meeting sales targets with Bachelor’s Degree.
  • An established client base with strong relationships with key decision-makers in the architecture and design community in this market with demonstrated expertise in lead generation and concept selling through effective individual and group presentations.

Additionally:

  • Ability to work in Philadelphia, PA without relocation assistance.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years' experience supporting Architecture and Design (A+D) firm business.
  • 2 years' experience in contract furniture or commerical interiors.
  • Industry affiliation (e.g., International Interior Design Association (IIDA), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and American Institute of Architects (AIA).
