Job Summary

As Quality Manager, you’ll lead the development and deployment of quality systems across multiple product lines and locations, ensuring alignment with Haworth’s commitment to design, performance, and customer satisfaction. You’ll champion continuous improvement through data driven insights, audits, and collaboration across teams from Customer Service to Manufacturing. Your role includes driving strategic initiatives in quality governance, process optimization, and member development. With a focus on eliminating waste and enhancing cycle times, you’ll help shape the future of our workspace solutions. This position supports operations across multiple sites, requiring strong leadership and a passion for excellence in every detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies: Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within engineering processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead a culture of inclusion and belonging, promoting member engagement, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage a team of engineering professionals: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources: Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses to ensure financial responsibility.

• Oversee complex engineering projects: Oversee the execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Engineering Management or similar field of study
• Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 additional years of Quality, Engineering, Data Analysis, or Project Management experience OR 4 additional years Quality, Engineering, Data Analysis, or Project Management experience if no post-secondary education
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Quality, Engineering, Data Analysis, or Project Management, preferably in a manufacturing or product development setting 
• 2 years supervisory experience
• Work Experience: 5 years related experience
• Supervisory Experience: 2 years supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Management practices and systems
• Background in Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong emphasis on Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies
• Proven Project Management experience
• CQE and/or CQM certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ)
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis or automation
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of the Six Sigma/DMAIC framework
• Industry experience in contract office furniture, automotive, or manufacturing sectors
