We are currently looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team in Holland, MI.

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Business Process Analyst to support our materials management business group, with a focus on commodity planning and procurement. This role serves as a key liaison between IT and business units, translating operational needs into system configurations and process improvements. The analyst will evaluate system enhancements, lead medium-sized projects, and contribute to major initiatives by gathering requirements and recommending solutions. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise and business process knowledge, along with the ability to drive global technology solutions. Collaboration with business leaders to define metrics, improve performance, and implement best practices is central to this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the evaluation of system enhancements and alternatives, primarily SAP, by recommending solutions to optimize business processes
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for System projects and enhancements, primarily SAP, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability.
  • Analyze and optimize end-to-end materials management business processes, with heavier focus on commodity planning and procurement.
  • Configuring, maintaining, and optimizing SAP MM and PP modules.
  • Documenting "as-is" and "to-be" process flows, functional specifications, and configuration rationale.
  • Develop detailed functional design documents, outlining system functionality, data flows, and user interfaces to meet defined business requirements.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure proper implementation of functional designs and with testers to define test cases and ensure quality.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training to business users on new systems or enhancements.
  • Stay informed about relevant technology trends and best practices in business analysis and system implementation.
  • Contribute to IT project teams, providing business analysis expertise, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements that can be facilitated by technology solutions. Understand all tools the company currently employs across all functions.

  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or relevant field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years of additional IT experience utilizing systems applications and/or experience supporting commodity planning or procurement scheduling OR 4 years of additional IT experience utilizing systems applications and/or experience supporting commodity planning or procurement if no post-secondary education
  • 5 years of IT experience utilizing systems applications and/or experience supporting commodity planning or procurement

  • Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ERP System Application Experience and certifications (focus on commodity planning and procurement modules highly desirable).
  • In-depth experience or strong understanding of SAP Materials Management.
  • Understanding of relevant modules including SAP Materials Management (MM), and SAP Production Planning (PP). 
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA environment, SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), SAP Ariba, and integration capabilities.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification.
  • ISM (Institute for Supply Management) certification.
  • Manufacturing Industry experience.
  • Materials Management work experience.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex SAP issues.
