Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Member Communications Specialist to join our team onsite in Holland, MI.
On the Member Culture & Communications team, you don’t just write messages—you shape how members experience Haworth every day. As a Senior Member Communications Specialist, you translate values into meaningful stories, strategy into clear direction, and key moments into memorable connections. In this role, you’ll lead complex communications projects from strategy through execution, developing and delivering impactful communications for both internal and external audiences. Partnering closely with leaders and teams across the business, you’ll work independently to solve problems, guide initiatives, and ensure communications are timely, engaging, and aligned to our vision. You will also help strengthen your teammates' capabilities—becoming a trusted anchor for the team's growth. Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting or equivalent area of study.
- Associate's degree in Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, or equivalent area of study plus 2 years related experience, or
- High school diploma plus 4 years related experience.

Experience:
- 5 years related working experience in strategic communication, storytelling, audience engagement and message delivery with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or equivalent area of study or,
- 3 years related working experience in strategic communication, storytelling, audience engagement and message delivery with a Master’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting or equivalent area of study.
Additionally:
- Ability to work in Holland, MI, without relocation assistance.
- Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Live, virtual or hybrid event production support with event and production platforms.
- Experience supporting all-hands, town halls, leadership meetings or large-scale internal events.
- Multi-media collaboration experience.
- Strong editorial writing and editing skills.
- Multi-channel communication experience.
- Campaign or project management skills.
- Haworth working experience.

Essential Functions
- Leads the planning and execution of member communications projects, managing timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develops and implements content strategies specifically for member communications channels, aligning with overall communication goals and member needs.
- Manages relationships with external vendors, including printers, designers, and digital agencies, to support member communication initiatives.
- Conducts in-depth research and analysis to understand member needs, preferences, and communication patterns, informing content strategy and channel selection.
- Measures and reports on the performance of member communications campaigns, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future efforts.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their professional development.
- Contributes to the development and refinement of the overall member communications strategy, providing insights and recommendations based on experience and member understanding.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, AI, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
