Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Holland, MI.
 

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist you will:

Support the development and management of a diverse network of domestic and international suppliers across various product categories, with a focus on project-based business. Collaborate on category-level strategies including product development, assortment planning, and vendor negotiations. Partner closely with the Architectural Solutions team and Haworth dealers to enhance sales performance, improve gross margins, and ensure a smooth customer experience. Contribute to supplier strategies that are competitive, customer-focused, and adaptable to regional needs, evolving market conditions, and industry trends.

Essential Functions

  • Supplier Coordination: Assist in identifying and onboarding new suppliers, maintain relationships with existing vendors, support contract documentation, and help track supply chain performance and timelines.
  • Pricing Support: Contribute to the development of project pricing by gathering data, applying pricing guidelines, and ensuring labor and tax components are included in NET pricing submissions.
  • Procurement Execution: Support procurement initiatives by helping implement growth strategies, assisting with product planning, and managing procurement activities for assigned commodities.
  • Market Research: Conduct competitive research and basic market analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Share insights to support product and supplier decisions.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance metrics, assist in quality reviews, and help ensure compliance with company standards. Support corrective action processes as needed.
  • Cost and Inventory Tracking: Help identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor procurement costs, and maintain accurate vendor and inventory records.
  • Reporting and Process Improvement: Assist in preparing performance reports, support cost reduction efforts, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data collection and analysis.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job function with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Construction Management or equivalent 
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or,
    • High school diploma plus 4 years related experience. 

 

Work Experience:

  • 5 years related experience with Bachelor's Degree OR 3 years related experience with Master's Degree.
    • Related experience defined as knowledge of operational structure of construction, architectural, and building firms; workflow analysis and management; budgeting and cost estimation/project life cycle.

Additionally:

  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product development or commercial construction.
  • Experience in office furniture, primary construction, or closely related industries.
