Job Overview

We are currently looking for three Regional Business Development Vice Presidents to join our Sales team. Two of these positions will be based in the United States and one will be based in Canada.


As a Regional Business Development Vice President, you will:


Be responsible for developing, directing and implementing regional sales goals and objectives that meet profitability expectations and results.  Provide leadership and support to regional sales operation management team to drive new business and maintain existing customer base.  Responsible for meeting established quota for regional sales goals and marketing objectives.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, design, or equivalent job-specific professional level work experience with Haworth.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred.
  • Twelve years diversified experience in sales and marketing, including eight years in office furniture or closely related industry and five years in sales management role.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without relocation assistance.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight and internationally.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Must be visionary leader; excellent communication, both written and verbal; excellent public speaking skills.
  • High client engagement skills as consultant, expert advisor.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, particularly within highly competitive and demanding setting.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions with dealer principals, executives, managers, clients, customers, government agencies, and general public.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Project management and multi-tasking skills; strategic and analytical thinking and financial and business planning skills.
  • Ability to make quick decisions that are right for business while also able to build consensus with team members and across all functional areas of business.
  • Demonstrated track record in “for profit” business with strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply financial analysis principles to achieve superior budgetary results and effective allocation of internal/external resources.
  • Knowledge and utilization of available tools that determine cultural impact, office environment trends, and workplace strategy development.
  • Ability and willingness to coach and develop people, fosters creativity and innovation, build teams, and facilitate change.
  • Possesses subject matter skills over area(s) supervised; transfers that knowledge and expertise to leverage staff performance and development.
  • Skill, knowledge, and ability to tailor approach and coaching expertise to meet specific member’s individual learning style to increase motivation and engagement to improve performance; capable of translating information and expectations in constructive manner to drive change and desired results.
  • Ability to develop and encourage members’ growth through setting and measuring goals and performance and reward and recognize members who display positive behaviors, obtain results, and meet commitments through personal accountability, using appropriate skills and knowledge.
