Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Sales Director to join our team in New York.

As a Sales Director, you will:

Be responsible for developing, directing and implementing sales goals and objectives for the assigned sales team. As the Sales Director, you will support the area sales team by establishing expectations and activities to drive new business and maintain relationships with current clients.

Do you have these required qualifications?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing or communications and 8 years of sales and account development experience, including 6 years of commercial product sales or services, including 3 years of experience in sales supervisory role with direct reports where you were responsible for developing, coaching, and leading a sales team.
  • If no degree; 16 years of sales and account development experience, including 6 years of commercial product sales or services, including 3 years of experience in sales supervisory role with direct reports where you were responsible for developing, coaching, and leading a sales team.
  • Sales experience in commercial furniture industry.
  • Ability to work in New York City without relocation assistance
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop people, build teams, deliver results, and facilitate change.
  • Ability to successfully manage others and manage territory; strong business and financial acumen skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills to close business and manage relationships.
  • Must be strategic and analytical thinker capable of driving creative and tactical business decisions that support Haworth initiatives.
