Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Sales Director to join our team in New York.


As a Sales Director, you will:

Be responsible for developing, directing and implementing sales goals and objectives for the assigned sales team. Support the area sales team by establishing expectations and activities to drive new business and maintain relationships with current clients.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of sales and account development experience, including 6 years of commercial product sales or services.
  • 3 years of experience in sales supervisory role with direct reports.
  • If no degree; 16 years of sales and account development experience, including 6 years of commercial product sales or services, including 3 years of experience in sales supervisory role with direct reports.
  • Ability to work in New York City without relocation assistance
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.


Do you have the following preferred qualifications?

  • Sales experience in commercial furniture industry.
  • If no sales experience in commercial furniture industry, experience working in commercial interiors, commercial real estate or architectural workplace solutions.
  • Knowledge of competetive landscape and key influencers in the New York City market.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop people, build teams, deliver results, and facilitate change.
  • Ability to successfully manage others and manage territory; strong business and financial acumen skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills to close business and manage relationships.
  • Must be strategic and analytical thinker capable of driving creative and tactical business decisions that support Haworth initiatives.
