Job Summary

We are currently looking for an Associate Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Conover, North Carolina.   The position will work Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  This position does have the ability to work from home 1 day a week with supervisor approval.  
 

As an Associate HRBP, you will be: 
Working closely with experienced Human Resources Business Partner(s), supporting internal customer group, functioning as both business partner and member advocate between management and members to interpret, administer, and implement corporate policies, procedures, and cultural initiatives. Works with management to ensure fair and consistent compliance with corporate policies, practices, and objectives and advocates for members.

Essential Functions

  • Provide basic HR guidance and support to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Assist with HR processes, such as recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Conduct basic investigations into employee relations issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
  • Coordinate and deliver basic HR training programs.
  • Support HR initiatives, such as employee engagement and diversity and inclusion.
  • Stay informed about current HR trends, laws, and regulations.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in business, human resources management, industrial relations or equivalent.
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or,
    • High school diploma plus 4 years related experience. 
  • Military Equivalent.
     

*Related experience is defined as working experience in employee relations and engagement, process improvement, day to day support for client/customers groups and implementing programs and policies. 

 

In addition: 

  • Must be able to work onsite in Conover, NC without relocation assistance.
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time. 
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with conducting workplace investigations and resolving workplace issues (problem resolution) preferred.
  • Experience reviewing and/or evaluating people for selection and/or programs for appropriateness preferred.
  • Experience as a Human Resources generalist, specialist, employee relations or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in an HR setting supporting manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience working with confidential information. 
  • SHRM certification preferred.
  • Ability to support Spanish-speaking employees in navigating various human resources questions or concerns
