Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive ~ Boston to join our team in Sales-Boston MA.  

 

As a Business Development Executive ~ Boston, you will:

Develop revenue and increase market share through identifying and securing new business accounts. You will also develop various strategy plans in order to provide solutions for customers.

Do you have these required qualifications?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, marketing, or communications

AND

  • 3 years contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.
  • If no degree; 11 years contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management.
  • Ability to travel daily away from “home” offices up to 70 percent of time in assigned market with occasional overnight travel, depending on assigned territory; may have occasional international travel, depending on assignment and/or training needs.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Boston without relocation assistance.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
  • Proven history of identifying and developing (hunting) new business opportunities.
  • Furniture Industry experience
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
  • Strong networking skills to new business relationships.
  • Confident “hunter” skills to cold call and develop new business opportunities with end-user clients.
  • Selling skills, e.g., prospect qualification; lead generation; new business development; account penetration; strategic, conceptual, issues-based, and consultative selling; negotiation; and contracts (closing)
