Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Upholsterer to join our 2nd Shift team in Conover, NC.  

 

As a Upholsterer, you will:

Upholsters seats, backs, arms, and outers for lounge seating products, utilizing Haworth and specially ordered customer fabric, leather, and vinyl.  Manually positions fabrics to appropriate parts, forms edges, and attached fabric with staples.  Inspects fabric and parts per quality specifications.  Assists with training other Upholsterers. There will be a $3 Shift Premium for working 2nd shift as well!

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • High school diploma or equivalent (equivalent is 3 years manufacturing experience equals 1 year of formal education).
  • 2 years manufacturing experience, including 6 months upholstery experience.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Conover, NC without relocation assistance.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Experience upholstering furniture arms and backs
  • Experience working at Haworth
  • Experience in the furniture industry

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to continuously pull, push, and tug material, equivalent to 10- to 24-pounds lift, into place.
