Job Overview

We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Holland, MI.

 

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will:

Generate demand and develop sales opportunities via telephone and on-line sales portal to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth within assigned territory. Utilize exceptional communication, technology, and relationship-building skills to generate new leads for Haworth Sales and our Dealer partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Attends training to develop deep product knowledge. Conducts own research to understand assigned region and develop targeted approaches that yields leads for new business opportunities and/or booked appointments.  
  • Conducts baseline research, in conjunction with Haworth Sales and dealer personnel, to identify key contacts at small to medium sized business, including critical account information prior to prospecting call. Plans a customized approach and applies appropriate sales and messaging techniques for establishing strong customer relationships.
  • Creates and maintains database of key contact personas within each geography, utilizing Vine/Microsoft Dynamics, Zoominfo and LinkedIn. Assigns appropriate messaging for each persona for effective communications.
  • Sources new sales opportunities via inbound leads as well as follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails, including email drip campaigns, to generate prospects.
  • Owns relationship with targeted retailer and drives revenue growth and positioning for that account. Responsible for lifecycle maintenance of that retailer as well. 
  • Maintains current and accurate database of prospects and on-line sales activities, utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology to create reporting and forecasts and track performance.
  • Works closely with manager on training needs for product knowledge and sales skills building; utilizes knowledge/training to increase effectiveness and meet performance goals and objectives.
  • Constantly evaluates performance gaps; develops action plans to close gaps to meet required Haworth performance expectations.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing liberal arts, design, or equivalent combination of education experience
  • Prior sales or inside sales experience 

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in office furniture or closely related industry preferred
  • ZoomInfo, Salesforce, Sales Navigator and/or Salesloft experience preferred

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and listening skills to influence target audience.
  • Ability to learn and practically apply learned knowledge regarding Haworth products and programs.
  • Ability to develop strong sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, sales strategy, and business development.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels, including building and maintaining relationships with end-user clients, influencers, dealer customers, internal sales team members, and teams at corporate headquarters.
  • Strong networking skills to develop leads and new business relationships.
  • High service/client focus work ethic; strong telephone etiquette.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Must be innovative with continuous improvement mindset to learn and seek ways to make things better.
  • Ability to pursue everything with energy, drive, and need to finish – doesn’t give up; willing to accept responsibility for results.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Must be self-confident with ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability and desire to work with and contribute to team environment, working positively and collaboratively with Haworth and dealer sales teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Has tolerance for change/ambiguity; can effectively cope with change, finding ways to advance work and projects.
  • Strong technology skills with ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
