Job Overview

We are currently looking for a2nd Shift Production Coordinator 1 to join our team in Holland HCP Steel Plan.

 

Schedule is 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday. OT schedule: 2:00pm-12:00am and potential Saturdays from 2:00pm-10:00pm.

 

Ensures smooth production flow. Prepares and coordinates material for the assigned product or line. Coordinates, gathers, and launches materials needed to assemble final product. Scans and prepares bulk packs for wrap. Relocates product into bulk pack or single pack.

Major Responsibilities

  • Utilizes electronic production system to prepare department for daily production.
  • Makes adjustments to inventory and schedule throughout the day, escalating quality concerns or major delays.
  • Provides guidance to team members, communicates clear direction and stages parts for daily production plan.
  • Reviews order requirements, coordinates schedule, checks material status, evaluates part availability.
  • Scans and prepares bulk packs for wrap. Relocates product into bulk pack or single pack.
  • Validates product counts against customer order, expedites or troubleshoots missing or incorrect product.
  • Investigates and tracks material and parts shortages.
  • Performs quality checks. Ensures correct labeling is attached to products.
  • Advises leadership of any issues or concerns delaying production.
  • Inspects incoming component parts and previous station's assembly work per Haworth quality standards to ensure proper fit and function of all components.
  • Participates in problem solving and cross functional teams.

WORK REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • New team members may be placed in this job and receive OJT.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Large machinery and equipment used in work areas.  Possibility of cuts, scrapes or bruises.
  • Moderate exposure to dust, noise, solvent, heat, paint, and lubricants. May also be exposed to glue, solvent, heat, paint, fiberglass, and denatured alcohol.
  • Constant mental and visual alertness required to avoid potential serious injury to self and others in all work groups.
  • Eye protection required; hearing protection may be required.
  • Moves and may lift materials and/or products weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally more (assistance given with heavier objects).
  • Walks, bends, twists, turns, reaches and lifts while performing functions of position.
  • Standing required for extended periods.
  • Work requires regular repetitive arm and hand movement.
  • May be required to climb stairs and ladders.
     

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Ability to utilize appropriate electronic production system to complete job duties, along with the respective technology tools, e.g. personal computer (PC), tablet, keyboard, mouse, RF gun.
  • Must be able to organize a fairly complex, fast moving work schedule with minimal supervision.
