Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Program Development Consultant/Instructor to join our team in Holland, MI at the Haworth Global Corporate Headquarters. 

Would you like to be a part of a highly collaborative and passionate international learning team focused on developing talent at all levels within the organization? As a Senior Program Development Consultant/Instructor, you will be challenged to find solutions that drive better work relationships, build teams and grow employee engagement.  A key component of this role is to lead the design, development, and delivery of training programs to Haworth members around the world.  You will be joining a highly collaborative and passionate international learning team focused on developing talent at all levels within the organization. The position will be eligible for a work from home schedule 1 or 2 days a week, when applicable.  Please note:  Some weeks there is the need to be in the office at Headquarters for the full week and others may include travel to both domestic and/or international Haworth.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, organization development, education or equivalent. 
  • Education Equivalency
    • Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or,  
    • High school diploma and 4 years related experience. 


Work Experience:

  • 7 years related experience in adult-level learning, training, development, and delivery with a Bachelor’s degree or, 
  • 5 years related experience in adult-level learning, training, development, and delivery with a Master’s degree.

  • Training development and delivery experience in a business setting.

Essential Functions

  • Functions as lead of project team and/or independently manages complete lifecycle (Analyze, Design, Develop, Deliver, Execute [ADDIE]) of creation of training programs for internal and external audiences. Leads and manages other project team members, without having responsibility or authority of direct reporting relationship, to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and with high quality results.
  • Writes, researches, produces, and revises training materials in a variety of media to support training programs. Manages program development and delivery efforts to ensure they are within budget and meet established quality standards.
  • Designs training programs which include instructional objectives, instructional content, and instructional methods and media to instruct and/or train both internal and external audiences.
  • Conducts needs and job analysis to determine appropriate training requirements.
  • Delivers training programs, effectively coordinating variety of media, ensuring both internal and external trainees accomplish learning objectives.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training programs and ensures appropriate revisions are made, compiling reports to document value of training.
  • Analyzes training department processes to recommend and implement improvements that improve quality, reduce program development time and costs, and better meet needs of Haworth’s customers.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and platform skills.    
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and training techniques required.    
  • Ability to lift/move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.    
  • Ability to provide classroom instruction and/or facilitation to various audiences ranging in class size of 6 to 200.        
  • Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 40 percent of the time.
