Job Overview
As a Team Member, you will:
- Produce various lighting, power distribution products and components, and other products per work order and blueprints. Assure production meets quality requirements. Routinely work in several or all operations, including assembly, packing, testing, cleaning, and other operations.
Schedule
- 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. OT is from 6:00am-4:30pm.
Pay
- Up to $15.75/hour
Required qualifications
- 8th grade education
- Ability to read blue prints, read work center documentation, and perform basic math
- Good manual dexterity and communication skills
- Good vision and color perception
- Ability to frequently lift/move material weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in team environment, pursuing and developing specific goals and objectives

- Computer experience, including keyboard/mouse skills
Major Responsibilities

Assembles all component parts per process sequence in accordance with approved methods, blueprints, and bills-of-materials, using work center tools and fixtures, to meet schedule requirements.

Constantly loads, unloads, lifts/moves, pulls/pushes, and or positions product and material weighing up to 30 pounds. Frequently loads, unloads, lifts/moves, pulls/pushes, and or positions product and material weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally load/unloads or lifts product weighing up to 100 pounds (assistance given with heavier objects by work partner) throughout work center. Assembly operations involve frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, turning, and lifting; may operate overhead crane/hoist.

Constantly inspects product to ensure conformance to established quality standards and other obvious defects.

Uses work orders and dispatches (printed or electronic) to determine quantity and sequence of products to be assembled.

Verifies quality of assembled product through use of inspection tools and testers to meet established quality standards. Documents quality inspections and audits on designated forms such as log books and Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.

Places required certification stamps, labels, and personal identification marks on products passing tests.

Performs failure analysis and repair on product not passing tests; scraps and documents non-repairable products and components to allow for proper corrective action.

Maintains housekeeping standards by vacuuming, sweeping, and picking up in work area to prevent safety hazards and defective products.

Pulls and prints pick tickets, shipping labels, and verifies floor stock accuracy. Uses computer system to correct discrepancies and control inventory locations.

Performs inspections, routine simple maintenance, and scheduled preventive maintenance on work center tooling, testers, and other equipment, and records required information.

Communicates verbally and in writing with team members (co-workers, supervisors, support staff) on goals, objectives, results, problems, priorities, issues, alternatives, IDEAS, and needs.
