Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Receiving Specialist to join our team in Holland.
As a Receiving Specialist you will:
Analyze various sources of data to assist with coordinating production schedules and maximize material utilization. Allocate orders based on customer demands. Develop and implement procedures to continuously improve plans and execution of assigned areas. Maintain “sync” among various manufacturing systems. Maintain department records and floor stock inventory accuracy; ensure department is supplied with necessary raw materials needed to maintain workflows to complete daily production requirements. Ensure product is tagged and put away, facilitate exception process, maintain quality, scraps damaged product, and reorder replacement product. Work with Quality team on “stop ship” process to ensure nonconforming product is processed in timely manner. Optimize delivery operations, manage peak delivery periods, and identify opportunities for improvement. Utilize your knowledge of transportation, logistics, and customer service to ensure efficient and effective product receipt.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate receiving activities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to internal customers.
- Performs inventory management functions, such as incorrect location, quantities, cancelled orders, and/or stop shipments from plants or warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy. Performs necessary Quality Non-Conforming Material (QNCM); Systems, Applications, Processes (SAP); and Irista system transactions.
- Troubleshoots various system issues, including, but not limited to, failed incoming documents (idocs), failed printing of shipping documents, or correcting address changes to ensure accurate and timely receipt of product.
- Support inventory control processes, ensuring accuracy, minimizing waste, and optimizing inventory levels.
- Analyze data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support transportation management activities, coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, and resolving receiving issues.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers, customer service, and operations, to ensure seamless operations.
- Utilize technology and software to streamline receiving processes and improve efficiency.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year Material Control, Distribution, Shipping and Receiving or similar experience
- Ability to be frequently exposed to production environment and lift/move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
- PC and keyboard/mouse skills
- Ability to maintain or or obtain an active hi-lo license

Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of production and inventory control procedures; understanding of JIT principles
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Experience using an ERP systems (WMS, Legacy Systems, or SAP)
